Sacred White Sage

Healing Elements does not take any profits from the White Sage; we donate all proceeds to The Cahuilla Band of Indians, a sovereign entity protecting and preserving its reservation’s most natural resources in Southern California.

Salvia Apiana (white sage) is an evergreen perennial shrub that is native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico, found mainly in the coastal sage scrub habitat on the western edges of the Mojave and Sonoran deserts. The leaves are burnt by many native Americans tribes, with the smoke used in different purification rituals. A tea from the roots was used by the Cahuilla women for healing and strength after childbirth. When choosing to work with this plant medicine, it is important to do so with reverence and respect for its lineage and ancestral use.
