What is Āyurveda? Join us in our 3-hour āyurveda workshop to learn the basics and more about this wonderful, ancient holistic practice! The class will be held on Saturday, September 11th from 1-4pm and costs $60 for attendance.

In this workshop, you’ll learn to identify imbalances and gain a foundational understanding of how to apply āyurveda in your own life.  We’ll discuss lifestyle, nutrition and āyurveda’s link to a therapeutic yoga practice.

Āyurveda looks at the qualities within us and all around us; it encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to balance in one’s own life.  Āyurveda identifies 3 types of energy that are present in everyone & everything.  The 3 types of energy are called doa (vāta, pitta, kapha). Everyone inherits a unique mix of the three doshas, and one is usually stronger than the others in each individual. Each dosha controls a different body function. It’s believed that your chances of getting sick — and the health issues you develop — are linked to the balance of your doshas.

This workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in learning about āyurveda and how to use it within your life. Sign up today!
