Yoga therapy is a holistic approach to healing. Through self-inquiry and the development of sustainable habits, the process of yoga therapy is inherently empowering. In a one-on-one setting, either virtual or socially-distant in person, the therapist adapts the time-tested tools of yoga (āsana – postures, prāṇāyama – breathwork, bhavana – meditation objects, nyāsa, & more) to support the individual’s needs, likes & abilities.
This session is designed to get to know you and understand what you need. Time will be dedicated to exploring the appropriate tools of yoga that address the whole system: body, mind, breath, personality & emotion. At the end of the session, Jess will send you home with a personalized practice that you can integrate into your daily routine.
We are in relationship with life which provides unique challenges and constant change. It’s important to adapt your daily practice under the guidance of a teacher. Through daily practice, we establish new patterns and maintain a state of attention, balance and peace.
Sliding Scale Fees
INITIAL appointment: $60-$100
FOLLOW-UP session: $50-$90
It takes time to integrate new patterns. Jess recommends a minimum commitment of 3 sessions (an initial appointment and 2 follow up sessions).
Jess Rometti (she/her) is a student in the lineage of T.K.V Desikachar. She recently completed the education requirement of yoga therapy training through the YogaWell Institute. Under the mentorship of Kevin Kortan, she is seeing clients as she works towards her IAYT certification.
Jess believes that each person is precious, deserving of attention and support in their own path to healing and transformation. When she’s not practicing or teaching, she’s hanging out with her animals (cat Marc & dogs Blu & Barry), outside in the garden or diving into a DIY project.
